The Alpha is our preliminary release of Phantom Galaxies. It previews the gameplay and mechanics that our community can expect to see in the full release. Typically, Alpha Releases are followed by a Beta Release, where the samples and commentary from the Alpha are adjusted and re-released into a second group of testers for feedback.
By previewing Phantom Galaxies in this way, it provides context for the affiliated NFTs and shows off the integration and in-game utility they will have. For example, you will be able to fly in your Starfighter NFT, play as your Avatar NFT and soar around the galaxy past your Planet NFTs. These are to be iterated on and improved with each release of Phantom Galaxies.
As part of the Phantom Galaxies Alpha, there are four “Episodes”. In each of these Episodes, you can see the context for the Poster NFT it is affiliated with. Central command, or Halberd-001, was the first airdropped NFT to the community. This was used to unlock the Alpha.
In order to access to early access Alpha, you'll need to own at least one NFT from the Official The Origin Collection. If you have this NFT:
Connect your wallet to the official website
Click the Download tab at the top right of the website
Download the Alpha after generating your unique access code
1️. Go to the download page of our official website and connect your MetaMask wallet.
2. Copy your access code, and download the Phantom Galaxies Launcher (macOS or Windows) from the download page.
3. Run the installer (depending on your Windows settings, you may have to 'Run as administrator'). If prompted with a 'Windows protected your PC' prompt, please select ‘More info’ -> 'Run anyway'. If prompted with a 'Windows Firewall' prompt, please select 'Allow access'.
4. The installer will download and install the game. If prompted with a 'Windows change notice' prompt, please select 'Allow'. Once installed, select 'Play Phantom Galaxies.
5. On load, you will be prompted to enter your unique access code. Please paste your access code into the prompt and hit enter.
6. Experience the world of Phantom Galaxies!
** If you haven’t played Episode 1, you must play through that first to be able to play Episodes 2-4.
