What is Phantom Galaxies about?

Phantom Galaxies is a AAA game with the biggest bad-ass Mechas on the Blockchain! An open-world online space sim with a fast-paced mech shooter and a captivating story.

When is Phantom Galaxies coming out?

Early Access is slated for Q3 2023. The game has been in development for over 3 years. Official launch TBA.

What is the Phantom Galaxies story?

Save humanity from the threat of alien annihilation. Enlist in the elite Ranger Squadron and pilot a Mechanized Starfighter to defeat the Sha’Har, a mysterious and warlike civilization intent on extinguishing mankind for desecrating their hallowed tomb worlds on the furthest frontiers of known space. What are NFTs?

NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are digital assets that represent a real world object like art, music, videos, and in-game items. Every NFT is a unique token on the blockchain and while copies of these digital items are available for anyone to obtain, NFTs are tracked on blockchains to provide the owner with a proof of ownership.

Which marketplaces can I purchase NFTs on?

The initial supported marketplace is OpenSea.io.

🤖 - ABOUT AIRDROPS & NFTS - 🤖

Was there an airdrop for early supporters?

Yes. The Halberd-001 airdrop occurred for those who connected their wallet to our official website before November 22nd, 11:59pm UTC. The airdrop was in the form of a collectable NFT with game utility. Registrations are closed for that airdrop and there are currently no additional airdrops available.

Where is my early supporter airdrop?

Check the hidden tab on your Opensea profile. If you connected before Nov 22nd, you would have received Halberd-001 in the wallet you connected with.

Will there be more airdrops in the future?

There have been more airdrops since then, including The Hopeful, Planet Founder and Phantom Catalyst NFTs. We will always plan, promote and support these well in advance and on all of our social platforms. We will never do a stealth drop or stealth mint. Keep an eye on announcements for potential future airdrops.

Do Discord roles indicate access to airdrops or mints?

In general, no, roles do not relate directly to NFT airdrops or mints. On rare occasions, special limited run NFTs may be tied to a role as a method to track who is entitled to receive that NFT. One such occasion was 'The Hopeful'.

The members with the Hopeful Role who posted their wallet address in a special channel, within the allotted timeframe were Airdropped the Hopeful NFT. Only 2521 did so, meaning that there will only ever be 2521 Hopeful NFT's.

What is a litepaper and a whitepaper?

A whitepaper is a document created by the founders and/or developers of a blockchain project. This document will provide facts, diagrams, statistics and quotes to people interested in the project. A litepaper is an initial high level version of a whitepaper. It summarizes the contents of a whitepaper while maintaining the significant points of the whole document.

When was the litepaper released?

The Litepaper was released December 14th 2021 (UTC). It is available on the official Phantom Galaxies website. Please take every precaution to ensure you download it only from the official website. This document is in PDF format.

Will there be a whitepaper? The whitepaper will follow a period of time after the release of the litepaper. The exact date is yet to be determined as the whitepaper expands on the litepaper. The whitepaper will be made available in the same manner as the litepaper, on the official Phantom Galaxies website. There will be official announcements and other communication from the team as per usual.

How do I get a role?

Some roles are closed indefinitely and some roles will be available periodically. Keep an eye out for new roles in the future.

What is the “Hopeful” role?

The Hopeful are our early adopters and were the first 5k people to join the Phantom Galaxies Discord server. The role is token-gated behind owning The Hopeful NFT.

What is the “Messenger” role? The Messenger role is for those who have attended our Ask Me Anything events (AMAs). It will open periodically when we have another AMA or other community events.

What is the “Brave Dechraunians” role? The Brave Dechraunians role was for those who were here to celebrate the Discord server hitting 100k members.

What is "Friends Of Zorran"? Friends Of Zorran is awarded as a special role given to exceptional community members who prove themselves worthy. Those with Friends Of Zorran obtain exclusive benefits including early sneak peeks into the development process of Phantom Galaxies, as well as priority in live events.

What is the "Frontier Scouts" role? The Frontier Scouts role is given to those who meet us live at in-person events.

What is the "Rulers Of Worlds" role?

The Rulers Of Worlds role is given to verified Planet Genesis Mintpass and Planet Genesis NFTs.

What are the "Prospector" and "Mogul" roles for?

The Prospector role is for those who own 100 ASTRAFER. The Mogul role is for those who own 1000 ASTRAFER.

What is the "Collectors Of Glory" role?

The Collectors Of Glory role is given to those who own Starfighters and Avatars.

What is the "ASTRAFER Collector" role?

The ASTRAFER Collector role is for those who own at least 1 ASTRAFER.

What is the token?

ASTRAFER is the official game governance and game utility token for Phantom Galaxies.

Is there an IDO?

No, there is no IDO.

How can I invest?

Investments are closed at this time. You can participate in future public NFT sales.

What blockchain will this be on?

Phantom Galaxies is available on Polygon. However, Phantom Galaxies is being built as a multichain game. Each blockchain will have its own home galaxy and players from different chains will be able to interact with each other throughout the Phantom Galaxies universe. The rollout of the game on multiple chains will happen in phases and in parallel with the advancement of the game’s storyline. Please refer to the litepaper in #🔗┃official-links for more details.

Are there going to be gas fees?

The team has assured us that gas wars will not be an issue! They are working hard to make this as inclusive as possible and prevent unnecessary fees.

🤖 - SECURITY - 🤖

Did the Discord server get compromised?

Yes, our Discord server was compromised at approximately 3:00am AEDT on Friday, 19th November 2021. We regained control of the server later on that same day and we have implemented measures to prevent this from happening again. We want to restate that the only official mints for Phantom Galaxies will be simultaneously announced on the Official Discord server and Twitter account. If you do not see the announcement on both at the same time, it is fake. The mint will only ever take place on the official website. Any official airdrop collection will be linked from the official website as well.

Will the victims of the compromised server get compensation?

Compensation has been fully distributed.

Are there any updates relating to compensation for the victims?

Yes. Those who were affected were able to claim 0.1 ETH in compensation or mint Poster 3 for free.

What can I do for now?

Who is able to partake in the private sale?

Only close Animoca partners, brands, and guilds are able to participate in the private sale.

When is the public Planet sale?

The public Planet sale was slated to start in April 2022.

What is a Poster and unredeemed/redeemed Poster?

Halberd-001, Shining Star, etc. are Posters. Redeemed Posters are what your unredeemed Poster will turn into when you earn a Completion Badge and claim an Episode Medal through the Phantom Galaxies website.

How many Halberd-001s do I need?

You only need 1 for access to all 4 Alpha episodes. You need 5 "unredeemed" Halberd-001's to exchange for an Episode 2 Shining Star Poster. If you are determined to access to EVERYTHING in the Phantom Galaxies NFT Series, you will need both Redeemed and Unredeemed versions of each Poster, meaning you will need to possess 12 Halberd-001s total - 1 Redeemed, 1 Unredeemed, 5 to exchange for a Poster 2 you will not redeem, and 5 to exchange for a Poster 2 you will redeem.

What does cost per token mean?

Cost per token is the calculated price paid per token based on the Planet details. Take the price of the Planet, divide it by the number of tokens and that is the "cost per token". Maximum governance token is the max amount of ASTRAFER that the Planet will yield, and vice versa.

What is the Origin Series?

The Origin Series NFTs grant access to play all episodes. These include Medals, The Hopeful, and Redeemed and Unredeemed Posters: , Halberd-001, Shining Star, Poster 3, and Poster 4.

Can Planets be destroyed or raided by other players?

Planets CANNOT be destroyed. Rogue Planets CAN be player controlled.

Will these specs be the final specs for the official release of Phantom Galaxies?

No. The Phantom Galaxies team is working on optimizing the final build. More information to come later on.

Can I play without the Blockchain/NFT elements?

Yes! You can play PG without the blockchain elements. It will cost about the same as a standard MMO.
