How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in this product?
We are utilizing the Polygon Network for our NFTs and blockchain integration in Phantom Galaxies. These elements allow our players to own their digital assets, to enjoy and trade amongst each other within our economy.
What utility does this bring to the product?
Phantom Galaxies supports the option to store Starfighters, Avatars, and Planets as NFTs on the blockchain. Some of the main features blockchain technology brings to Phantom Galaxies are:
Customisable Starfighters and Avatars to stylise your look.
Purchasing and upgrading equipment using Phantom Galaxies’ Astrafer token.
Governance and control over Planets and land.
Ownership of assets can be traded and sold using various marketplaces.

Does this product require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this product support?
To interact with the Web3 aspects of Phantom Galaxies, connecting an external wallet will be required. Currently the wallets we support are MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, and WalletConnect. We are planning on adding additional wallets/platforms over time. Connecting an external wallet is not required to play phantom Galaxies.
Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?
Yes you can! Phantom Galaxies is Free-to-Play and you can play and experience without interacting with any blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency elements.
What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?
Phantom Galaxies has set out to be multi-chain, to be easily accessed across various networks. The current supported network is Polygon, which is proof-of-stake. We strive to use the very best technologies and networks to bring a smooth and truly AAA experience to the blockchain.
Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?
Phantom Galaxies does not have its own marketplace, but instead currently uses OpenSea, the world's first and largest Web3 marketplace, for NFTs and crypto collectibles. This can only be accessed through a desktop or mobile browser, and not through the game. Assets available for earning and purchasing include:
Starfighter and Avatar NFTs, which are in-game cosmetics that allow you to traverse the galaxy in style, with some impact on gameplay experience.
Generative Planets, which allow you to earn ASTRAFER emissions.
Proof-of-Attendance rewards which are gifted for meeting certain gameplay requirements, or ownership of other assets. These function as a completion reward or trophy that do not directly impact gameplay.
