How long will the Closed Beta last?

What is the expected duration of Cohort 1?

We expect this first cohort to last for roughly a month, after which the Beta will open to Cohort 2.

When will Early Access begin?

We currently expect that Early Access will launch in Q3 2023, according to our development schedule. However, this is subject to change, depending on the feedback we receive during the Beta period as we open up to more player cohorts.

What do I need to play?

Over time, the Beta will be open for set periods to cohorts of various NFT holders:

• Cohort 1: Friends Of Zorran (Zorran's Favour Holders)

• Cohort 2: Rulers of Worlds (Planet Holders & The Hopeful)

• Cohort 3: TBA

• Cohort 4: TBA

What is Cohort 1?

Cohort 1 will be the first set of players to enter the Phantom Galaxies Beta. We did a lot of testing throughout our Alpha process, pulling in valuable data and feedback from our Origin Collection NFT holders. Using this, we have brought the game to a new phase, making updates and refinements to established systems and core mechanics to support long-term gameplay. We’re very excited to share this new evolution of Phantom Galaxies - at first with a very small batch of NFT holders.

Who has access to Cohort 1?

For this first cohort, holders of the Zorran’s Favour NFT will have access. Friends of Zorran are a small sample of dedicated players, who have been awarded the ZF NFT for exceptional community contributions or for winning competitions. It seemed fitting to share our next phase with this committed group first, and we’re very excited to show them the progress they’ve helped to bring about.

How can I get a Zorran’s Favour NFT?

Zorran’s Favour is designed as a reward for outstanding community members. They may have won competitions or contributed to the community in impactful ways, helping or entertaining others. We have never sold Zorran’s Favour, but because they are minted on the blockchain, you also have the opportunity to buy one from the secondary market.

I hold another Phantom Galaxies NFT. When will I get access to the Beta?

Future cohorts will be rolled out in a sequence based on different NFT requirements, with the next group consisting of Planet Holders and The Hopeful. We’ll have more to share on this as we move through the Beta phase.

Why is the Beta being released in cohorts / phases?

In this next phase, we are implementing significant networking and blockchain infrastructure, which needs to be tested with player cohorts of increasing size. Releasing in incremental cohorts also helps us to better address any issues that arise during the Beta. Phantom Galaxies is continuously being worked on, and while the game will be in a more raw form during Cohort 1, you’ll be seeing loads of improvements and additions as we make our way towards the Early Access launch.

I have a Zorran’s Favour NFT. How can I access the beta?

What happens if I sell my Zorrans Favour NFT whilst I’m playing?

If you sell your ZF NFT, you can no longer play the Beta during Cohort 1. If you buy a ZF, you will be granted access to play. You will get a completely new account with in-game progress reset to zero, and will not inherit game progress from the previous ZF owner.

Will the Alpha still be available?

Yes, the Episodic Alpha will still be playable during the Beta, until we announce that it is no longer available.

Can I stream or share videos from the beta?

Absolutely! There is no non-disclosure agreement. In fact, the more people that know about PG, the better! Just make sure to let people know that this is an early version of the game and may not be representative of the final product.

Can I play on a different device?

This info will be released at a later date.

I ran into a bug. Where can I report it?

We have a bug report form linked in our Discord #beta-feedback channel where you can give us details about any pesky bugs you run into. Thanks for letting us know - bug reports help us to make the game better for everyone! Crash reports/logs can be found in AppData/Local/PhantomGalaxies.

Where can I find my access code?

Go to the download page of our official website and generate a new access code with the connected wallet. Click the “Download” button to generate the new code.

Will save data carry over?

Save data will remain throughout the Alpha episodes, but will reset during Beta.

Is there an issue with having the NFT on a ledger?

There are no issues. Your ledger will just need to link in to a supported blockchain wallet to interact with the website. MetaMask, Wallet Connect, and Coinbase Wallet are currently supported.

Can I play on Mac?

Unfortunately, Cohort 1 can only be played on Windows at the moment, but we expect this to change to include Mac devices as we continue through the Beta period.
